GUARDRISK NORTH VS SOUTH PADEL

THE ULTIMATE BRAGGING RIGHTS

Each May, players from Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town arrive in Camps Bay for a weekend that is talked about long after the final match. Guardrisk North vs South is an invitation-only, team-based padel tournament played over three days at The Rotunda. Recognised as an official SAPA Key Event, it blends high-level competition with the kind of atmosphere that makes people stay longer, cheer louder and come back year after year.

This is where rivalries are settled - at least until next May.

WHAT MAKES GUARDRISK NORTH VS SOUTH

Players represent their region rather than themselves. Matches unfold steadily, pressure builds naturally and momentum shifts are felt by everyone courtside. Conversations happen between sets, rivalries soften over meals and competition remains the heartbeat throughout.

At the end of the weekend, one side leaves with more than a result.

They leave with the ultimate bragging rights.

THE 2025 VIBE

The 2025 edition captured exactly what this event is about.

The courts stayed busy, the stands stayed full and the energy never dipped. Matches were competitive, the crowd was engaged and the atmosphere remained easy and welcoming throughout. Players pushed hard on court and shared stories off it. Spectators stayed longer than planned.

It was well supported. Well played. And genuinely enjoyed.
